SRA Update: Courts confirm dishonesty leads to striking off

Two recent separate judgements in the Court of Appeal and the High Court relating to Anthony Dennison and Motihur Rahman respectively show that dishonesty by a solicitor almost invariably leads to striking off.

On Tuesday May 22nd 2012, the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change announced in a written ministerial statement, the publication of a draft Energy Bill. The Energy and Climate Change Select Committe have announced an inquiry to scrutinse it and has issued a call for written evidence.

On 20th September 2010, the Deputy Prime Minister, Nick Clegg announced that the Coalition would allow local authorities to use Tax Increment Financing [TIF] in order to finance infrastruture projects. This would be implemented by the Local Government Finance Bill 2010 – 12 which is currently awaiting report stage in the House of Commons√جª¬ø
