SRA Update: Courts confirm dishonesty leads to striking off

Two recent separate judgements in the Court of Appeal and the High Court relating to Anthony Dennison and Motihur Rahman respectively show that dishonesty by a solicitor almost invariably leads to striking off.

Solicitors Regulatory and Practice Seminar

This successful seminar took place in Manchester on Firday 19th October at the offices of Lewis Hymanson and Small.

Jeremy Barnett spoke about recent SRA interest in various topics including the Referral Fee ban, ARP waivers, ABS applications and Stamp Duty Land Tax.

Paul Slater and John Oakland gave a fascinating insight into service quality in a rapidly changing market and Brian Rogers spoke in detail about COLP and COFA compliance.
