Jeremy Barnett to speak at Solicitors Regulatory and Compliance Seminar
Jeremy will be joining Ian Coupland and Jeffrey Lewis at a seminar in London on 16th November 2016 that will deal with Compliance, Investigations Interventions and dealing with the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal.
Jeremy will be covering a number of current issues including
- The current hot topic of using a client account as a banking facility or escrow account
- The Axiom legal funding cases
- Claims Management Issues – referral fees, investigations by the MOJ Claims Management Unit
- Data protection issues.
Ian Coupland will cover Interventions (having acted with Jeremy in two recent important cases), costs, the SRA properly pleading their case and other general points.
Jeffrey Lewis, the senior partner of Lewis Nedas will deal with Money Laundering issues.
